Another big name on the move when it comes to broadcasters. Deion Sanders is leaving the NFL Network, Sports Business Journal reported Tuesday.
The former great NFL defensive back was is an NFL Network analyst and could be seen on a variety of shows throughout the season, per his bio.
On Sundays during the NFL season, Sanders joins host Chris Rose on NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Prime, providing interviews with all of the top playmakers from the day’s games.
An eight-time Pro Bowler, Sanders played 14 NFL seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens. He has 53 career interceptions – 22nd all-time – and his 25.1-yards per interception return average ranks second in NFL history (minimum 30 interceptions).
The Hall of Famer won two Super Bowls in 1994 with San Francisco 49ers win Super Bowl XXIX and again with the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXX two years later. With Defensive Player-of-the-Year honors in 1994, Sanders became the first player in NFL history with two 90+ yard INT-returns for touchdowns in a season.
In 2011, Sanders was a part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s induction class. He is the only person in professional sports history to play in the World Series and the Super Bowl.
