Report: Darqueze Dennard has free-agent visit with Chiefs set

The first free-agency report surrounding Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Darqueze Dennard has surfaced.

Dennard had a quiet market to start but it didn’t last long, as he has a visit scheduled with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Dennard, 27, joined the Bengals in 2014 but has had injury hiccups here and there. Possibly complicating his market is the idea he might want outside-corner money as opposed to slot money.

If a team is willing to give Dennard a chance on the outside, they will presumably give him said money, too.

The Bengals already added a corner in free agency with B.W. Webb. He can play the slot, though his cheap contract doesn’t mean the Bengals won’t look at bringing Dennard back.
