New England Patriots defensive tackle Danny Shelton is exploring his options in free agency, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson. Shelton has two team visits scheduled so far, per Anderson.
Shelton joined the Patriots in a trade with the Cleveland Browns during the 2018 offseason. He was on the final year of his rookie deal, and the Patriots elected not to take up the former first-round pick’s fifth-year option.
He had a few rough patches in 2018 and was a healthy scratch for a few games. He finished the season with 21 tackles in 13 games played.
