Report: Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott having surgery on right ankle

The Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott suffered a leg injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Prescott, who had caught a TD pass at the end of the first half, was taken off the field on a cart after a play in the third quarter.

An air cast was put on Prescott’s right leg. His former coach and current Giants OC Jason Garrett came onto the field to check on the quarterback.

CBS reported Prescott was taken straight to the locker room and ambulances were on-call and ready at the stadium should he need to be taken there.

Prescott looked to be in severe pain as he was taken to the locker room.

Update:

The Cowboys were leading 24-23 when the injury occurred midway through the third quarter.
