Report: Colts work out LB Marcus Smith

The Indianapolis Colts are looking to add some depth to the front seven following the news that defensive end Kemoko Turay will miss the season due to a broken ankle.

While there are several options to consider, the Colts are reportedly working out linebacker Marcus Smith, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Colts have worked out Smith before in December of the 2018 season so the interest is there.

Smith, 26, was a first-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles as the No. 26 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the Eagles before being waived ahead of the 2017 season. He played two games with the Washington Redskins in 2018.

In 53 career games (no starts), Smith has recorded 32 tackles (20 solo), 6.5 sacks and 14 quarterback hits.
