Report: Colts met with LB Justin Phillips at Oklahoma State pro day

The Indianapolis Colts are leaving no stone unturned during the draft process with just over a month left until the big event at the end of April. This includes checking out pro days across the country.

The Colts were on hand for Oklahoma State’s pro day on Monday and reportedly met with linebacker Justin Phillips, per Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst.

Phillips, who was given a seventh-round grade entering the season, has been struggling with a sprained knee since the end of the season and did not run the 40. He will workout for the Dallas Cowboys this coming Monday and met with the San Francisco 49ers andIndianapolis Colts during pro day.

Listed at 6-foot, 230 pounds, Phillips enjoyed a relatively productive career at Oklahoma State. During his redshirt senior season in 2018, Phillips recorded 98 tackles (71 solo), 11 tackles for loss, three passes defended and 2.0 sacks.

The Colts don’t necessarily have a need at linebacker with the emergence of All-Pro Darius Leonard to go along with start Anthony Walker and rookie Matthew Adams carving out a depth role toward the end of the season.

Regardless, the Colts will continue to place an emphasis on the front seven, and Phillips could be someone to keep an eye on during Day 3 of the draft.
