Report: Colts host TE Donald Parham on top-30 visit

The Indianapolis Colts may have one of the best tight end rooms in the NFL, but that won’t keep them from adding to the unit where they see fit in the 2019 NFL Draft.

There is a chance they wait until Day 3 to use one of their nine current selections in the draft on a projectable tight end. It appears Stetson tight end Donald Parham is on their radar as he’s set to visit the Colts on an official top-30 visit, per Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst.

Here’s what Benjamin Solak of The Draft Network had to say about Parham’s game:

Donald Parham is a big slot receiver at the next level, with as high-ceiling/low-floor projection as you’ll find in a player. Parham eviscerated lower-level competition and rightfully earned a Senior Bowl bid, wherein it will be far harder to separate from defenders. His agility, strength, and contested catch ability will all be tested. At his best, Parham could prove a depth-caliber receiver (WR3/4) used in match-up situations to present an unprecedented problem for defenses. At his worst, Parham’s lack of thickness, play strength, and quickness will spell practice squad purgatory for him. Parham likely is a fringe rosterable player who will struggle early on given his lack of special teams ability.

The Colts have a deep tight end room being led by Jack Doyle and Eric Ebron. Following closely is Mo Alie-Cox, who showed strides of development throughout the 2018 seasoN, while Ross Travis brings to the room an extremely high ceiling.

It isn’t clear if the Colts will wind up adding to the tight end room, but it appears they have a bit of interest in the former Stetson tight end.
