Report: Colts hire Scott Milanovich as QBs coach

The Indianapolis Colts have reportedly hired Scott Milanovich as the new quarterbacks coach, per Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star.

Though that role hasn’t been confirmed yet, there was a report that Milanovich was considering the role of quarterbacks coach. We’ll see what the official position is when the Colts announce it.

After former offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni took the head coaching job with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Colts promoted quarterbacks coach Marcus Brady to offensive coordinator.

Now, they have Brady’s replacement in that vacant spot and it will be Milanovich, who has a history with Brady and head coach Frank Reich.

Milanovich worked with the Jacksonville Jaguars for four seasons (2016-2019) as their quarterbacks coach and was most recently the head coach of the Edmonton Football Team (2020) in the CFL.

He was also the head coach of the Toronto Argonauts from 2012-2016 where he spent time with the aforementioned Brady, who was the offensive coordinator from 2013-2017 before joining the Colts’ staff.

The Colts have to start filling out their coaching staff after seeing a few assistants leave this offseason, and they made some headway doing so in bringing in Milanovich.
