Report: Colts had virtual visit with QB Jordan Love

The Indianapolis Colts, along with the rest of the NFL, have to find creative ways to meet with prospects in the 2020 NFL draft, which is still on schedule.

The Colts have met with many prospects via phone interviews and FaceTime. Among them is Utah State quarterback Jordan Love, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports that the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts have been in contact with Love via FaceTime and other virtual methods, per a source informed of the meetings.

Love is one of the favorites to be drafted by the Colts but they would likely have to trade up for him seeing as their first selection in the draft is at the No. 34 overall pick.

It isn’t clear how much the Colts like Love as a prospect or if he will even be available to the point where the Colts can trade up for him.

This isn’t the first report of contact between the two parties and with Philip Rivers and Jacoby Brissett under contract for only the 2020 season, the Colts have to begin looking for a potential franchise signal caller.

Whether that will be Love remains to be seen, but the Colts have certainly shown interest in the promising quarterback prospect.
