The Indianapolis Colts reportedly fear that safety Malik Hooker suffered a torn Achilles in the 28-11 win Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings at Lucas Oil Stadium, per Ian Rapoport.
Hooker was ruled out with the Achilles injury during halftime of the home-opening win. Typically with this type of injury, the outlook isn’t ever positive.
The Colts already lost running back Marlon Mack to a torn Achilles in Week 1 and potentially may lose wide receiver Parris Campbell to a significant knee injury. Now, they are likely to lose Hooker for the remainder of the season.

Hooker is entering the final year of his contract after the Colts declined his fifth-year option. If he does have a torn Achilles, his season would be over and Hooker would enter the offseason as a free agent looking for a new contract either with the Colts or another team.
In his stead, rookie Julian Blackmon is likely to see an increase in snaps. The Colts drafted him in the third round of the 2020 draft, and he made his debut on Sunday against the Vikings.
