Report: Colts claim former Texans running back D’Onta Foreman off waivers

D’Onta Foreman may no longer be with the Houston Texans, but it appears he will be staying in the AFC South.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the former 2017 third-round pick was picked up off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts.

The Texans waived Foreman on Sunday. While there may be no hard feelings between Foreman and the Texans, no doubt the former 2016 Doak Walker Award winner will want to prove to his former team, and the rest of the NFL, that he is indeed recovered from a torn Achilles sustained on Nov. 19, 2017.

Foreman appeared in a single game for the Texans in 2018, rushing seven times for minus-1 yard, although he did catch two passes for 28 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown reception that helped spark the Texans’ near comeback at the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16.

According to the Colts’ unofficial depth chart, Indianapolis has running backs Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, Jordan Wilkins, Jonathan Williams, and Keith Ford on the roster.
