Report: Colts’ Chester Rogers signs RFA tender

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Chester Rogers will be returning on a one-year deal after signing the restricted free agent tender extended to him earlier this offseason, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Rogers had until April 19 to sign his tender, which is the deadline for restricted free agents to sign the offer sheet if one is extended to them. The Colts applied a second-round tender to Rogers, worth $3.095 million for the 2019 season.

The Colts wide receiver corps faces plenty of questions as the offseason training program begins. Rogers has been a steady, if unspectacular, piece to the offense while also working as a return man on special teams.

Rogers has improved every season since entering the league in 2016 as an undrafted free agent. He had a career-year recording 53 receptions for 485 yards and two touchdowns.
