Report: Bengals looking to trade former top-10 pick John Ross

The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to trade former first-round pick John Ross, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The No. 9 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Ross had high expectations after setting the 40-yard dash record at the NFL combine. But Ross has never found his footing as a wide receiver for Cincinnati.

Ross, who was targeted a mere two times in three games his rookie season, progressed throughout his second season, totaling 210 receiving yards on 21 receptions.

Of those 21 receptions, seven were for touchdowns, giving him one of the best touchdown-to-receptions rates in the entire NFL. However, Cincinnati seemingly feels his speed and skill set are better utilized elsewhere.
