The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed a crucial piece from their 2019 Super Bowl-winning season.
According to a report from ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, the Chiefs will re-sign cornerback Bashaud Breeland on a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million.
Breeland joined the Chiefs as a free agent acquisition in 2019 and quickly established himself as one of the most trusted cornerbacks on the team. Breeland would go on to start opposite Charvarius Ward throughout the season. He came up big for the Chiefs in several key moments with crucial interceptions and pass breakups, putting his stamp on the success of the defensive rebuild in Kansas City.
