Report: Chase Young closing in on maximum of two-game suspension

There’s a bit of good news coming out regarding suspended Ohio State defensive end Chase Young today. According to sources cited by Kyle Rowland of the Toledo Blade, the University expects to get the final ruling on Young’s suspension timeline.

And, according to multiple sources inside the program per the Blade, OSU is expecting that suspension to be a maximum of just two games, with the time against Maryland counting in that number. Key in on the work maximum.

This comes just as most were reporting a four-day suspension. That in itself isn’t necessarily incorrect, because that’s the time frame lobbied for these sorts of things regarding the amount of money and infraction, but a school can always appeal from that starting point. That appears to be what may be occurring here.

Now, with all of these things we must stress that nothing is official. All you have to do is look at how the information on this has changed along the way to know you must wait to see what comes out from Ohio State themselves on this.

So, onward we go as news and information surfaces on the latest with Young. As more becomes available, we’ll of course have it for you.

That’s a bit of good news for anyone tied to Ohio State following this, because it likely means the most disruptive player in college football should be back for both Penn State, Michigan, and beyond.
