Chargers tight end Virgil Green is expected to miss several weeks with a lateral ankle injury, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
Green suffered the injury during Sunday’s game against the Jaguars when he landed awkwardly in the end zone after hauling in a touchdown pass from quarterback Justin Herbert.
Los Angeles could place Green on the injured reserve, which would force him to miss the next three games before returning to the field.
With Green expected to miss some action, Donald Parham, who also had a touchdown reception Sunday, will see his snaps increase while Hunter Henry continues to get the majority of the load.
