The Chargers are bringing back a familiar face.
Los Angeles is signing wide receiver Dontrelle Inman, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
Inman was traded to the Bears for a conditional draft pick back in 2017. After being shipped, Inman became a bit of journeyman. He went onto play with the Colts in 2018 and was signed by the Patriots in May and was released just two days ago.
He appeared in 41 games with 23 starts over four seasons with the Chargers, totaling 107 receptions for 1,463 yards and seven touchdowns. He started all 16 games in 2016, setting career-highs with 58 catches for 810 yards and four touchdowns.
Inman joins a crowded wide receiver group that are all fighting for the final two or three roster spots behind Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Travis Benjamin.
