Report: Chargers sign Tom Telesco to multi-year extension

The Chargers have signed a key individual, although it’s not a player.

Los Angeles signed general ganager Tom Telesco to a multi-year contract extension at the completion of last season, according to ESPN’s Eric D. Williams.

The Chargers signed GM Tom Telesco to a multi-year contract extension at the completion of last season. It’s the third deal for Telesco while with the Chargers. He signed a 3-year contract extension before the start of the 2015 season due to expire at the end of the this year.

This marks the third deal Telesco and the second extension he has received since joining the franchise in 2013. He signed a three-year contract extension before the start of the 2015 season that was set to expire at the end of the 2019 season.

Los Angeles has only two losing seasons in Telesco’s six-year tenure with the team, though he has made the postseason only twice in that span. The Chargers are 48-48 over the past six seasons.

L.A. went 12-4 in 2018, finishing second behind the Chiefs in the AFC West. They lost to the Patriots in the AFC Divisional Round.
