Report: Chargers Melvin Ingram (hamstring) expected to miss some time

Chargers defensive end Melvin Ingram is expected to miss some time after sustaining a hamstring injury in Sunday’s victory over the Dolphins, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport said that Ingram is likely going to be out for a couple weeks.

Ingram suffered the injury late in the second quarter. He was spotted on the sidelines in a navy blue sweatshirt, indicating that he wasn’t going to re-enter the game.

But Ingram had every intention of going back out on the field, and that’s when wide receiver Keenan Allen had to tell him that it wasn’t worth risking.

Ingram was one of four players that got hurt at some point in the game. Linebacker Denzel Perryman, wide receiver Dontrelle Inman and tight end Sean Culkin each sustained some kind of injury.

In Ingram’s absence the next two weeks or so, Uchenna Nwosu and Isaac Rochell will split time at the LEO position opposite of Joey Bosa.
