The Chargers have lost a valuable piece to their defensive line.
Defensive tackle Darius Philon is signing to the Cardinals on a two-year, $10 million deal, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.
Philon emerged as Los Angeles top interior defensive lineman the past two seasons. The former sixth-round selection out of Arkansas had 64 tackles, 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles over 32 regular season games.
L.A.’s defensive line is very slim now as Brandon Mebane, Justin Jones and T.Y. McGill are the only active members on the roster. Corey Liuget and Damion Square remain unrestricted free agents.
