Report: Former Chargers DT Damion Square visits Titans

Former Chargers defensive tackle Damion Square took a free agent visit to the Titans on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

Last season marked Square’s best as a Charger. Starting 11 of 16 games, he recorded 31 tackles with three for a loss, three sacks, seven quarterback hits and three passes defensed.

In five seasons with the Bolts, Square recorded 69 tackles with eight for a loss, 5.5 sacks, six passes defensed, 14 quarterback hits and two fumble recoveries. He played in 49 games with 19 starts over those five seasons.

Former Chargers defensive tackle Corey Liuget recently visited the Giants, but it doesn’t appear a deal was made.

With less than a week until the 2019 NFL draft, Los Angeles is in bad shape at the position. After re-signing Brandon Mebane, the team only has three players on the active roster on the interior part of the defensive line.

Assuming L.A. doesn’t sign any players within the week, they will likely make it a high priority in the draft and could very well double-dip to shore it up.
