The Vikings released center Brett Jones to make way for wide receiver Josh Doctson last week.
But Jones will be back in purple soon. Via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, Jones is expected to sign with the Vikings, as early as today.
The Vikings would have to make a corresponding move on their roster to make room for Jones, so we’ll see who that is.
Jones spent last season with Minnesota after the Vikings traded a seventh-round pick to the Giants for him. He had spent the first two seasons of his career with New York.
We’ll likely see him slot in as Garrett Bradbury’s backup on the depth chart.
