Boston Celtics pre-draft workouts have been continuing apace according to Forbes Sports’ Chris Grenham, who related a pair of 2021 NBA draft prospects worked out with the Celtics in the last week.
It’s unclear if we can discern anything from the range of players Boston has been inviting to conduct workouts with, but it hints at a focus on fringier players who would perhaps end up being taken in the latter half of the second round where the Celtics control the No. 45 pick of the coming draft, or perhaps go undrafted and earn a camp invite with Boston instead.
With the draft still a ways off on Thursday, July 29 it could simply be that the Celtics are starting at the back end and working their way up, but without further attempts at mind-reading, let’s take a quick look at the players Grenham reports working out with Boston.
