The Arizona Cardinals had official visits with Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa on the same day. With new information from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, we now know they not only had visits the same day, the visits were side-by-side.
“Those visits actually came together,” he said on NFL Network’s live draft kickoff show. “What this team essentially did was compare both of those guys side by side. They rode in the car together. They went to dinner together. They sat in meetings together. Everything they did together to allow the organization the proper window into what these guys compare to one another.”
Both players are considered top defensive players in the draft. Many say either one or the other is the best player in the entire draft.
If the Cardinals do not end up selecting Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray, they will select one of these two players.
If one of them is the selection, how this side-by-side visit likely will have been the deciding factor between the two.
