Report: Cardinals executive Ron Minegar arrested for DUI in Chandler

For the second summer in a row, an Arizona Cardinals executive is in trouble with the law. Executive vice president and chief operating officer Ron Minegar was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Chandler late Saturday, reports AZ Family’s Stanley Roberts.

Per the report, Chandler police say at around 11:30 p.m., Minegar was stopped in the area of Pecos Road and Arizona Avenue for speeding, failure to drive within one lane of traffic and driving within the bicycle lane.

He was later arrested for DUI, cited and then released as the investigation continues.

General manager Steve Keim pleaded guilty to extreme DUI last July, also in Chandler. He served two days in jail and was suspended for five weeks by the team. The team also fined him $200,000.

Minegar has been with the Cardinals since 2000.

At the time of this post, the team had not released a statement about the arrest.
