Report: Cardinals claim OT Justin Murray off waivers, cut by Raiders

The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly being active with their waiver claims. Already reportedly claiming offensive tackle Brett Toth, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, they are also adding another tackle.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, in addition to Toth, the Cardinals have also claimed former Oakland Raiders tackle Justin Murray.

Murray has only appeared in two NFL games in his career but he has more league experience than the other two backup tackles currently on the Cardinals roster. Toth is a rookie, as is seventh-round pick Joshua Miles.

Murray entered the league as an undrafted rookie with the Denver Broncos in 2016. The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder has spent time with the Broncos, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals and Raiders.

He appeared in two games with Oakland last season.

The Cardinals got to see him up close in the preseason, as they faced the Raiders. Murray played 24 snaps in that game.
