Report: Cardinals claim former Rams CB Kevin Peterson

The Arizona Cardinals have been active on the waiver wire following final cuts. They reportedly have added a pair of offensive linemen in Brett Toth and Justin Murray, as well as defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard. They also have reportedly added a pair of defensive backs.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, one is former Los Angeles Rams cornerback Kevin Peterson.

Peterson was on injured reserve last season but played in six games, starting one time in 2017. He had two interceptions and six pass breakups.

He is listed at 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds.

He entered the league as an undrafted rookie in 2016 with the Chicago Bears.

When the Cardinals trimmed their roster down on Saturday, they left only three healthy cornerbacks. Peterson will give them a fourth but he likely will be depth behind Tramaine Brock, Byron Murphy and Chris Jones.
