REPORT: Cardinals 1 of 5 teams interested in LB Brandon Marshall

The Arizona Cardinals must address the inside linebacker position in the offseason, as Deone Bucannon is a free agent and they recently released Josh Bynes, leaving Haason Reddick as the only known player for the position.

They are expected to address the position in free agency and have been connected to former Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall.

Marshall, who played for Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph when he was the head coach of the Denver Broncos, is a target of the Cardinals but he has interest from multiple teams.

According to NFL Network’s James Palmer, the Cardinals are one of five teams who have interest in the 29-year-old Marshall.

Palmer says the Chargers, Ravens, Jets and Bengals are all also interested.

Marshall is not a star, but he would be a solid addition to a position that was a weakness in 2018. He would also bring knowledge of the defensive system and could mentor Reddick.

He played in only 11 games in 2018 but was quite productive in 2017, starting all 16 games, collecting 106 tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble.
