The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady have agreed on a one-year extension through 2022, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Both parties reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension that voids to a one-year extension, keeping him around until the age of 45. Brady has said numerous times over the past few years that he can play until he’s 45-years-old and this deal solidifies the fact that he will go through with it.
The extension saves the Buccaneers $19 million against the cap this season and the additional years are there to help alleviate costs, according to Schefter.

The 2021 season will also be his first time returning to Foxborough, which will be full of emotions and excitement for all parties involved.
