Report: Browns will not issue tender offer to Briean Boddy-Calhoun

Briean Boddy-Calhoun has been a versatile performer in the Browns secondary over the last three seasons, but that time appears to be coming to an end.

According to a report from Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns will not issue a tender offer to the restricted free agent. That would make Boddy-Calhoun a free agent and Cleveland would not have any opportunity to match offers from other teams.

GM John Dorsey still has time to change his mind. The tender offers can be placed on restricted free agents until March 13.

Boddy-Calhoun has played quite well at times but also has some subpar games while moving around from free safety to slot corner and even outside CB. He has started 22 games over the last three seasons after being claimed from the Jaguars just before the 2016 campaign.
