Report: Browns will add DT Sheldon Richardson

The Cleveland Browns are expected to sign former Vikings defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson to a three-year deal, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Financial terms cannot be finalized until the start of the league year.

Richardson is one of the most versatile linemen available. He has played in a 3-4 and a 4-3 scheme. He has played the interior and the edge while bouncing around the league. The Browns will be his fourth team in as many seasons, following the Jets, Seahawks and Vikings.

He is only 28 years old and recorded 49 tackles and 4.5 sacks for the Vikings in 2018.

If this report stands, the Cleveland Browns will be fielding the following defensive line:

Myles Garrett
Sheldon Richardson
Larry Ogunjobi
Olivier Vernon

This move would give the Cleveland Browns one of the most imposing defensive lines in the NFL.
