Report: Browns still ‘seek help at OT’ before Tuesday’s trade deadline

With the NFL’s trade deadline rapidly approaching, the Cleveland Browns and GM John Dorsey continue to shop for offensive line help. So says a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter published Sunday, one which backs widely disseminated trade talks from the local Cleveland media.

Previous reports indicate Dorsey has been trying to extract former Pro Bowler Trent Williams from Washington, but the Redskins are unwilling to part with Williams even though he’s holding out.

Schefter built off those rumors in his report,

The Browns have been calling around the league, seeking help at offensive tackle, according to league sources. The Browns benched starting left tackle Greg Robinson for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, with Justin McCray likely replacing Robinson — for now.

Two names to watch: Philadelphia Eagles backup Halapoulivaati Vaitai, who has starting experience, and Cordy Glenn from the Cincinnati Bengals. A pie-in-the-sky name that Dorsey should at least call about: Jake Matthews of the sinking Atlanta Falcons.
