Report: Browns scuttled Myles Garrett interview with FOX

The Myles Garrett incident with Mason Rudolph in Thursday’s Steelers-Browns game isn’t going away anytime soon. FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reported Sunday he was scheduled to have a sitdown interview with the Cleveland defensive star … until the team squashed it.

Browns DE Myles Garrett agreed to do a sitdown interview with me for @NFLonFOX for today’s #FOXNFLSUNDAY about Thursday night. Shortly before we were heading to airport we were informed Browns brass brought Garrett to the facility and told him cannot do the interview

That news came shortly after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the appeals in the incident will be decided upon prior to Wednesday and more players will be hit with fines, including Rudolph.

Steelers’ QB Mason Rudolph, who was not suspended for his role in the fight, is expected to be fined for his role in Thursday night’s melee. The fine schedule calls for a player to be fined $35,096 for a first-time fighting offense.

All this should make the teams’ rematch on Dec. 1 in Pittsburgh quite intriguing.
