Report: Browns release starting LT Greg Robinson

The #Browns have released left tackle Greg Robinson, but they intend to sign him back, source said. He's their starter.

And with that tweet from Tom Pelissero, we have our first major curveball thrown by the Browns and GM John Dorsey. Pelissero is not the only national media reporting the news; ESPN’s Field Yates also reported the move.

Robinson started at left tackle for the final eight games in 2018 and performed reasonably well. He was the first-team LT for the entire offseason.

There is no immediate explanation for the move. Robinson is on a one-year contract with the Browns. The current backup is Kendall Lamm.
