Report: Browns director of research and strategy Kevin Meers leaving team

The Browns are losing one of the members of the front office. Director of research and strategy Kevin Meers is departing the team to attend Harvard Business School, per a report from ESPN’s Seth Walder.

Meers has been with the Browns since 2013. According to his LinkedIn bio, he began his time in Cleveland as an intern in the analytics department under then-GM Mike Lombardi. He has served in his current role since January 2016, when Sashi Brown took over and installed a more analytical bent to the front office.

Meers remained with the Browns after Brown’s departure, working closely with chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta.

There is no immediate word from the Browns on the departure or any potential replacement for Meers.
