Report: Browns deal with Breshad Perriman now off, WR will sign with Buccaneers

Breshad Perriman had a very tumultuous Tuesday. It ends with the wide receiver poised to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just hours after Perriman agreed to return to the Cleveland Browns.

Perriman reached a verbal agreement to come back to the Browns for a 1-year, $4 million deal on Tuesday afternoon. But the deal was not official and nothing was signed.

When Browns GM John Dorsey pulled off the whopper of a trade for Odell Beckham Jr. a few hours later, Perriman understandably got cold feet about returning to Cleveland. Dorsey granted Perriman his wish to get out of the agreement.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Dorsey and Perriman’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, mutually agreed to let Perriman out of the pending deal. Schefter also reports the former first-rounder will take the same deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
