Report: Browns are working out the Kouandjio brothers

It’s a busy day for free agent visits in Berea. Not only are the Browns hosting running back Orleans Darkwa, but a pair of offensive linemen are in town as well.

Brothers Cyrus and Arie Kouandjio are working out for the Browns, according to a report from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

The brothers are both offensive linemen from Alabama who have not lived up to their considerable recruiting hype. Cyrus was a second-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2014 but has struggled with injury issues and poor performance. He spent last year with the Denver Broncos and recently auditioned for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without signing.

Arie came out of the Crimson Tide program a year later as a fourth-rounder by the Redskins. He appeared in 17 games over three seasons and was waived off injured reserve last spring. Arie plays guard, while Cyrus was primarily a left tackle.

The Browns do need experienced depth up front, and the Kouandjios represent two of the bigger names still available on the free agent market.
