Report: Browns are in the running for free agent CB Bradley Roby

It’s been a quiet beginning to the legal tampering period of free agency for the Cleveland Browns, but one name to watch is former Denver Broncos CB Bradley Roby.

Per a report from James Palmer of the NFL Network, the Browns are one of a handful of teams expressing interest in signing Roby. The Texans, Steelers and 49ers are among the other suitors for the former Ohio State standout.

Roby was Denver’s first-round pick in 2014 and has been a steady presence for the Broncos defense. He is primarily an outside corner but does have some experience in the slot. Thus far, the speedy former Buckeye has not always lived up to his draft billing; he graded out as the No. 70 overall CB of the 77 cornerbacks who played at least 50 percent of their teams snaps in 2018. He did rank 21st in 2017 but just 58th the year before.

The 26-year-old has 7 career INTs and 60 PDs, as well as 7 forced fumbles.
