Report: Browns and JC Tretter agree on 3-year contract extension

JC Tretter has been a stabilizing force at center since joining the Cleveland Browns for the 2017 season. Now the standout center will remain in Cleveland for a few more seasons.

Per a report from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, the Browns and Tretter have agreed in principle to a 3-year contract extension. Rapoport indicates the deal is worth $32.5 million with over $23 million in guaranteed money.

Tretter was set to be a free agent at the end of the 2019 season. His 3-year, $16.75 million deal was set to expire after the year ends. Now the talented pivot will remain with the Browns through the 2022 season.
