Report: Broncos won’t interview ‘Big 4’ quarterbacks at NFL combine

The Denver Broncos will not interview the “Big Four” quarterbacks at the 2019 NFL combine, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

The four big quarterback prospects this year are Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray, Missouri’s Drew Lock and Duke’s Daniel Jones. It seems likely that Haskins and Murray will both be off the board when Denver selects 10th overall in April.

While the Broncos won’t be meeting with these QBs at the combine, there’s still a chance that the team may host several of them on official pre-draft visits at their facility later this offseason. Denver’s scouts will also likely attend all four the pro days featuring Haskins, Murray, Lock and Jones.

Broncos general manager John Elway said during his combine press conference that the team would like to bring back Case Keenum this season (as Joe Flacco’s backup). That may be a sign that the team could be waiting until 2020 to select a quarterback early in the draft.

Nashville will host this year’s draft, which will begin on April 25.
