Report: Broncos not interested in trading for Antonio Brown

The Denver Broncos aren’t interested in Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

This report should quiet the Brown-to-Denver rumors.

In January, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Broncos “may be one of the teams plotting a run at Antonio Brown.”

Brown will turn 31 years old this summer, and though he’s still productive, he’s been a headache for the Steelers and will earn $15.125 million this season. That’s a lot of money for an aging receiver — and he may want even more.

Three teams have already reached out to Pittsburgh about trading for Brown, who hauled in 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns in 15 games last season. It’s unknown what the Steelers are seeking in a trade, but a first- or second-round draft pick would make sense.

The Broncos won’t pursue Brown, but the team will need to add more depth at wide receiver through the draft, free agency or both.
