Report: Free agent Shaquil Barrett visiting Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals are starting to make some headway with outside free agents.

After a report suggesting the Bengals are getting a visit from Atlanta Falcons cornerback Brian Poole, a new one from Pro Football Talk revealed a visit from Denver Broncos linebacker Shaquil Barrett.

Barrett, 26, spent the last four seasons with the Denver Broncos and tallied 14 sacks over that while only missing three games.

Undrafted out of Colorado State, the 6-foot-2, 250-pound defender would be a nice addition to the Bengals’ pass rush with guys like Michael Johnson in free agency.

Barrett doesn’t figure to have the biggest market, which could produce a steal for a Bengals team needing some situational pass rushers, especially after Carl Lawson’s injury last year.
