Report: Brandin Cooks’ visit with specialist went well, Rams to be cautious

Brandin Cooks suffered his second concussion of the season last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, and his fourth since Super Bowl LII. In the days after the game, Cooks went to see a specialist in Pittsburgh to get to the root of his frequent head injuries.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the visit with the specialist went well. And not surprisingly, the Rams will still play it safe with their wide receiver and be cautious moving forward.

Sean McVay said Cooks was doing well the day after the game, which was a good sign. Still, it’s unclear exactly when Cooks will be back on the field. Expect the Rams to exercise extra precautionary measures before he suits up again.

The Rams are off in Week 9 so it’ll give Cooks some additional recovery time. They return to action in Week 10 against the Steelers next Sunday.
