Report: Bengals re-sign OT Bobby Hart to 3-year deal

The Cincinnati Bengals are bringing back right tackle Bobby Hart on a three-year deal worth $21 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Hart arrived with the Bengals in 2018 after a sour exit from the New York Giants and immediately took on the starting gig at right tackle. Publicly vouched for by Marvin Lewis, Hart was a penalty problem alongside right guard Alex Redmond and others.

With new head coach Zac Taylor in town, it seemed the Bengals were going to predictably let Hart and others like Cedric Ogbuehi walk to free agency and maybe address the problems via the draft.

With the money thrown at Hart here, it seems Taylor and the front office have other plans.

Hart, a former seventh-round pick, is still 24 years old and will now be in Cincinnati for three more years.
