Report: Bengals hosted Florida OT Jawaan Taylor on pre-draft visit

Just before the deadlines for pre-draft visits passed, the Cincinnati Bengals had Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor in town for a meet.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the 6’5″, 312-pound prospect made his visit Tuesday, meaning the Bengals had the guy who most consider to be the draft’s top tackle in town.

At worst, Taylor is a strong candidate to start on the right side of an offensive line for a long time. The Bengals still have a need there and have sounded open to competition even after re-signing Bobby Hart.

Presumably, a run on quarterbacks and edge defenders would have to push Taylor down the board to the Bengals in the first round at No. 11.

The Bengals have been doing plenty of work on the offensive line late in the process, including reported meets with Oklahoma’s Cody Ford and Washington State offensive tackle Andre Dillard.
