Report: Bengals get OL B.J. Finney and draft pick from SEA for Carlos Dunlap

We now know a little more about the compensation the Cincinnati Bengals will get back in return for trading Carlos Dunlap to the Seattle Seahawks.

The report of a trade went live earlier Wednesday, though only hinted that the Bengals were getting back a draft pick and a player.

It turns out that player is offensive lineman B.J. Finney, according to ESPN’s Adam Shefter, who comes alongside a seventh-round pick in exchange for Dunlap.

Finney, 29, is a former undrafted free agent from 2015 who joined Seattle this year and was active for six games. He’s got experience at center and guard, which is especially important for depth purposes with Trey Hopkins in concussion protocol.

Early Wednesday morning, word broke the Bengals told Dunlap not to report to practice as they attempted to find a trade partner. It turns out that partner was the Seahawks and the team managed to net a draft asset and a player in return for his departure.
