Report: Bengals fined Cordy Glenn during dispute over concussion

According to a new report, the Cincinnati Bengals and Cordy Glenn are engaged in a squabble over the handling of the left tackle’s concussion.

The report stems from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, who says the team fined Glenn for conduct detrimental to the team:

Per multiple sources, the Bengals and Glenn have been at odds regarding the concussion, its symptoms, whether he’s able to return, the need for second opinions, and how the player feels. At some point, the situation prompted the Bengals to fine Glenn $200,000 for conduct detrimental to the team.

Florio goes on to note that Wednesday, when Glenn was cleared to return, he was involved in an argument and “Glenn eventually told coach Zac Taylor to just cut him.”

Glenn self-reported the concussion after the team’s third preseason game and has been out until this week. To this point, coaches have been mostly mum on the topic. Glenn was fully active after receiving clearance the day prior to the report and there hasn’t been a note from the team about a setback related to the concussion.

The Cincinnati Enquirer’s Tyler Dragon noted Glenn wasn’t at practice Thursday just one day after being cleared:
