Report: Ben Roethlisberger will end his weekly radio show in Pittsburgh

Getting to hear from an NFL player in an environment where he is comfortable enough to speak freely is great for fans. This was the way Pittsburgh Steelers fans got to access quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on his weekly radio show on 93.7 The Fan during the NFL season. But according to a report by Pro Football Talk, Roethlisberger will not continue his show for the 2019 season.

Roethlisberger came under fire last season when he openly criticized wide receiver Antonio Brown on the show. That was the beginning of the end for the relationship between Brown and Roethlisberger.

This was a wise move on Roethlisberger’s part as the team ushers in a new era free of drama. For whatever reason, Big Ben felt very at ease when he did his weekly spot and often dived deeper into locker room life than you often got from him in a typical interview.

How do you feel about Roethlisberger giving up his radio show? Let us know in the comments below.
