The bigger story for the Browns is what could happen in 2022 at the quarterback position. Cleveland has already picked up the fifth-year option on Baker Mayfield’s rookie contract but have been linked to other quarterbacks, like Deshaun Watson.
With reported concerns related to the relationship between head coach Kevin Stefanski and Mayfield, shot down by offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt, there was some thought that Mayfield was done with the Browns.
