Report: Andre Roberson says his return is ‘coming pretty soon’

Oklahoma City Thunder wing Andre Roberson’s return to the floor could be near.

Roberson spoke to media Friday about when he thinks he’ll return from a knee injury he suffered during January. Per Erik Horne of The Oklahoman, Roberson said he doesn’t have a specific date for his return, but he anticipates coming back “pretty soon.”

“I can’t really put a timeline on it, honestly,” Roberson said. “But it’s coming pretty soon. I don’t know if I look good over there or not to you guys, but I feel good.”

Per Horne, Roberson participated more in practice Friday. Below is a video of him playing full-court, one-on-one defense.

Throughout his career, Roberson has been known for his strong perimeter defense. Though he doesn’t shoot well, Roberson has made an impact on defense for the Thunder.

He has career averages of 4.6 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, along with 48.2% shooting from the field. Roberson has also averaged 22.5 minutes per game for his career.

The Thunder will begin their regular season on the road next Wednesday against the Utah Jazz.
